Career
Shirokuma, competing out of Nishonoseki stable, has been a *jūryō* division fixture since his May 2022 debut. The Fukushima native stands 185 cm and weighs 161 kg. His recent tournament record shows alternating fortunes: a *kachi-koshi* at *jūryō* 9 in July 2026 earned him promotion to *jūryō* 6, but a subsequent *make-koshi* there dropped him back to his current *jūryō* 9 West position for the November 2026 tournament. Over his last four settled basho, he has posted two winning and two losing records.
His attack centers on pushing techniques, with belt-grip *yotsu-zumō* and throws as secondary weapons.
