Career
Kotozakura is an *ozeki* from Chiba Prefecture competing for Sadogatake stable. He debuted in November 2015 and has held the *ozeki* rank since at least March 2026. His recent tournament record shows inconsistency: a solid 10-5 performance in March 2026, followed by a difficult May basho that included a mid-tournament withdrawal after accumulating three absences and a 3-9 record. He returned in July with an 8-7 result, then posted 9-6 in September 2026.
His attack centers on pushing techniques, with throws as a significant secondary weapon.
